A location full of History

Built on ancient prehistoric cult sites, the "Mas de la Rouquette" was also one of the centres of resistance for the Protestant Camisards in the 18th century.

On this 57-hectare wooded domain, the main 900 m² building was first used as an agricultural farm and then as a sheepfold.

Comptoir Saint-Hilaire

Throughout his childhood, Alain Georges loved to come and play on this estate with its tall cypress trees. He bought it in the 90s and the whole family moved in.

In 2005, when he met Catherine Painvin, stylist and creator of the "Tartine et Chocolat" brand, the idea of transforming the family farmhouse into a top-of-the-range guest house started.
Le Comptoir Saint-Hilaire was born.

The transformation involved, among other things

Since 2005, Le Comptoir has been creating unforgettable holiday, moments and memories

Alain's daughter Isabelle, joined the adventure in 2011. She is now supported by Méryl, her own daughter. So, it's the second and third consecutive generation of the "Georges" family writing the history of this magnificent domain.

Benoît, Isabelle's brother, has taken over the farm - under the organic label - harvesting olives and lavender, as well as raising a rare breed of pigs "Barons des Cévennes". The quest for excellence in all areas is a family tradition.
